Patronal Festivals 2010

This year we are doing things differently. There will only be one morning service in the Benefice, in the church whose Patronal Festival is being celebrated that Sunday, and there will be a visiting preacher.  The service, on each festival will be at 11am and will be followed by lunch. This is so that all the Benefice can join together for these special occasions.

Blessed Virgin Mary is commemorated on the 15th August and the preacher at St Mary’s Reculver will be the Very Rev’d John Arnold, former Dean of Durham.

We celebrate St Bartholomew’s day in Herne Bay on the 22nd of August and the preacher is the Venerable Sheila Watson, Archdeacon of Canterbury, and Holy Cross day will be celebrated at Hoath on the 12th of September and the preacher will be The Right Rev’d Richard Llewellin, former Bishop of Dover.
